Itinerary:
Day 1: Vientiane – Thabok – Nam Kading National Park (180 km)
Start your motorbike journey early from Vientiane, riding southeast along roads that follow the peaceful Mekong River. The ride offers beautiful scenery, with lush green rice paddies, distant hills, and occasional glimpses of the river. Along the way, pass through charming rural villages where you can pause to interact with locals and experience traditional Lao hospitality.
Midway through the ride, stop in the small town of Thabok, a lively riverside settlement known for its bustling market. Here, enjoy a local lunch at a family-run eatery, sampling traditional Lao dishes like sticky rice and grilled fish. Take a short walk by the riverfront before continuing your journey.
In the afternoon, the road leads you toward the wilderness of Nam Kading National Park, a protected area known for its biodiversity and unspoiled nature. As you ride deeper into the park, the sound of birds and rushing rivers welcomes you. Arrive at a rustic lodge nestled along the banks of the Nam Kading River. Spend the evening immersing yourself in nature—listening to the sounds of gibbons, birds, and rustling leaves under the starry sky. Enjoy a simple but hearty dinner at the lodge, reflecting on the day’s scenic ride.

After breakfast by the river, hop on your motorbike and continue your adventure. The ride to Kong Lor Cave takes you through winding roads lined with towering limestone karsts, dense forests, and tranquil villages.
