As you approach Preah Vihear, the road becomes more challenging, with steep climbs and off-road tracks that wind through jungle terrain. Day 2: Preah Vihear Motorcycle Tour to Stung Treng (Approx. 180 km)
After an early breakfast, set off towards Stung Treng, a quiet town located on the banks of the Mekong River. The ride today is a mix of dirt roads and scenic countryside paths, offering plenty of opportunities for off-road thrills. As you ride through remote villages and forested areas, you’ll experience the peaceful and untouched beauty of northern Cambodia.
Arriving in Stung Treng, take the afternoon to explore the town’s riverside markets or relax by the Mekong. Stung Treng’s relaxed pace and riverside setting provide a tranquil stop on your tour. Enjoy a peaceful night in a guesthouse along the river, reflecting on the day’s adventure.
Day 3: Stung Treng Motorcycle Tour to Banlung (Approx. 160 km)
Today’s ride takes you deeper into Cambodia’s northeastern region as you head to Banlung, the capital of Ratanakiri Province. Known for its stunning natural attractions, Banlung offers a wild and adventurous ride through jungle paths, dirt tracks, and scenic off-road trails.
Once you arrive in Banlung, visit the famous Yeak Laom Lake, a volcanic crater lake surrounded by dense jungle. The crystal-clear waters of the lake provide the perfect spot for a refreshing swim, and the surrounding walking trails offer great views of the region’s natural beauty. Banlung is also known for its waterfalls and indigenous villages, making it an ideal stop for eco-tourism and cultural immersion. Spend the night in a local guesthouse.
Day 4: Banlung Motorcycle Tour to Kratie (Approx. 150 km)
Leaving Banlung, you’ll continue south along the Mekong River to the historic town of Kratie. This colonial-era town is famous for its French architecture and its proximity to one of Cambodia’s most unique wildlife experiences—the Irrawaddy dolphins. The ride to Kratie is a mix of riverside trails, dirt paths, and rural roads, offering scenic views of the Mekong River and the surrounding countryside.
Upon arrival in Kratie, take a boat tour to the dolphin sanctuary, where you’ll have the chance to spot the rare Irrawaddy dolphins in their natural habitat. Kratie’s relaxed riverside atmosphere makes it a great place to unwind after a day of riding. Stay overnight in a guesthouse by the river.
Day 5: Kratie Motorcycle Tour to Kampong Thom (Approx. 180 km)
From Kratie, ride southwest to Kampong Thom, a town known for its historical and cultural significance. The journey takes you through more off-road tracks and rural backroads, passing through traditional farming villages where life moves at a slower pace. Day 6: Kampong Thom Motorcycle Tour to Siem Reap (Approx. 160 km)
On the final day of your Cambodia Off-road Motorcycle Tour, ride back to Siem Reap. The route follows rural roads and scenic backroads, passing through more of Cambodia’s beautiful countryside. You’ll have the chance to stop at small villages along the way, interacting with locals and experiencing the warm hospitality that Cambodia is known for.
Arrive back in Siem Reap in the late afternoon, completing your adventure. Reflect on the diverse landscapes, cultural experiences, and thrilling off-road challenges that you encountered over the past six days. Enjoy a final evening in Siem Reap, perhaps exploring the night markets or relaxing by the river.
