Itinerary:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY IN VIENTIANE – LAOS GOLDEN TARMAC MOTORBIKE TOUR TO VANG VIENG
Our adventure begins as we welcome riders to Vientiane. On this first day, we focus on pairing each rider with their motorbike and allowing time for everyone to become familiar with their equipment and get a taste of the country. After a smooth start, we settle in for the night at the luxurious 5-star Don Chan Palace, ready for the adventure ahead.
DAY 2: VIENTIANE MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO VANG VIENG
We depart Vientiane for an easy yet scenic ride to Vang Vieng, a beautiful riverside town known for its tubing, kayaking, and other water sports. The journey takes us through serene countryside with breathtaking views, showcasing why Vang Vieng is considered one of the most visually stunning locations in Laos. By the end of the day, we arrive at the Vansana Vang Vieng Resort, where we relax in comfort and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
DAY 3: VANG VIENG MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO LUANG PRABANG
Today, we leave Vang Vieng behind and embark on a spectacular mountain ride to the historic city of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The route is full of incredible landscapes, with winding roads and beautiful mountain views. We arrive at the luxurious Luang Say Residence, renowned for its exceptional grounds and unique setting, and settle in for a night of relaxation.
DAY 4: DISCOVER LUANG PRABANG BY MOTORCYCLE
We spend our first rest day in Luang Prabang exploring the region’s highlights. We ride out to visit the Pak Ou Caves, an awe-inspiring spiritual site filled with over 5,000 Buddha statues. Our journey to the caves includes a scenic boat ride along the Mekong River, offering views to last a lifetime. Later in the day, we ride to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, where we can cool off and take in the beauty of this natural wonder.
DAY 5: LUANG SAY RESIDENCE RELAXING DAY
We continue to enjoy the luxury of Luang Say Residence for one more day. This is a “free day” for individual exploration, where guests can choose their own adventure or join the group for an exciting elephant trek or a visit to the picturesque Tad Sae Waterfall. The day is spent at a leisurely pace, allowing time to soak in the serene surroundings of Luang Prabang.
DAY 6: LUANG PRABANG MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO MUANG KHUA
Today, we ride north from Luang Prabang to the remote town of Muang Khua, situated along the Nam Ou River. This quiet town is rarely visited by tourists, making it a perfect destination to experience the pristine and untouched beauty of Laos. Along the way, we pass areas that were once part of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail, adding a touch of history to the journey.
DAY 7: MUANG KHUA MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO NONG KIAU
We trade our bikes for longtail boats as we embark on a peaceful cruise down the Nam Ou River to Nong Kiau. The gentle current takes us on a four-hour journey through some of the most beautiful and serene river landscapes in Laos, allowing us to relax and soak in the views before arriving at Nong Kiau River Resort.
DAY 8: NONG KIAU RIVER RESORT RELAXING DAY
Today is a rest day in Nong Kiau, perfect for recharging. We enjoy the tranquil surroundings while our mechanic performs a thorough check-up on the bikes to ensure everything is in top condition. The day is spent at a relaxed pace, allowing time for rest and reflection.
DAY 9: NONG KIAU MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO XAM NUA VIA PHOU LOEI NATIONAL BIODIVERSITY AREA
We ride deeper into the heart of Laos as we enter the Phou Loei National Biodiversity Area, also known as the Land of the Tigers. The ride is full of adventure, with challenging off-road trails and breathtaking views of this remote wilderness. By evening, we arrive in the village of Xam Nua, where we settle in at the Lao Heung Hotel.
DAY 10: DISCOVER PATHET LAO HEADQUARTERS AND THE CAVES OF VIENG XAI
Today, we explore the historic Pathet Lao headquarters and the incredible caves of Vieng Xai. These caves, fortified during the Indo-China Wars, served as entire cities, complete with hospitals, schools, and jails. We delve into the history of the region and gain a deeper understanding of the impact of these conflicts on the local population.
DAY 11: XAM NUA MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO PHONSAVAN
Leaving Xam Nua, we ride to the town of Phonsavan, a place rich in history and cultural heritage. Known for its connections to the Royalist Forces, the Hmong Freedom Fighters, and the CIA air war, Phonsavan offers a glimpse into the turbulent history of the region. We visit the famous Plain of Jars, an archaeological site filled with ancient stone jars that have puzzled historians for centuries.

DAY 12: EXPLORE XIENG KHOUANG PROVINCE BY MOTORBIKE
We dedicate another day to exploring the treasures of Xieng Khouang province. We visit the most iconic sites in the region, including additional jar sites, old battlegrounds, and historical landmarks. In the evening, we relax in the comfort of Auberge du Plain du Jars, cozy and luxurious with its unique alpine chalet-style accommodations.
DAY 13: PHONSAVAN MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO VANG VIENG
Today, we leave Phonsavan behind and embark on one of the most scenic rides in Laos as we head to Vang Vieng. The roads twist and turn through the mountains, offering breathtaking views at every turn. We arrive in Vang Vieng with time to unwind and perhaps float along the peaceful Nam Song River, reflecting on our incredible journey.
DAY 14: VANG VIENG MOTORCYCLE TOUR BACK TO VIENTIANE
We set out on our final ride back to Vientiane, bringing our 14-day adventure to a close. The journey is filled with scenic views of the Laos countryside, as we ride along smooth tarmac roads that lead us back to the city. Upon arrival, we return to the grand Don Chan Palace for one last night, sharing a meal with our fellow riders and recounting the memories made along the way.
