Itinerary:
Day 1: Phnom Penh Motorcycle Tour to Pursat (Approx. 160 km)
Begin your off-road adventure by heading west from Phnom Penh toward Pursat, a lesser-known destination nestled in the heart of Cambodia’s countryside. The ride takes you along a combination of paved roads and dirt trails, giving you an immediate feel of the rural landscapes.
Pursat is famous for its floating villages on the Tonle Sap Lake and its rich marble quarries. Visit the Kampong Luong floating village, where you’ll get a glimpse into the lives of communities that live on the water. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful stay at a local guesthouse, experiencing the quiet charm of rural Cambodia.
Day 2: Pursat Motorcycle Tour to Battambang (Approx. 130 km)
On day two, ride further west to the colonial city of Battambang. The off-road journey takes you through scenic rice paddies, jungle paths, and small traditional villages, giving you plenty of opportunities to experience local life.
Arriving in Battambang, explore the city’s French colonial architecture and visit the famous Bamboo Train, a unique ride on makeshift wooden platforms through rural countryside. You can also visit the Phnom Sampeau caves, a site of historical significance, offering stunning views over the surrounding plains. Overnight at a charming riverside guesthouse.
Day 3: Battambang Motorcycle Tour to Pailin (Approx. 150 km)
The third day’s ride takes you south along rugged mountain roads to Pailin, a town near the Thai border famous for its gem mining. The off-road journey includes winding mountain paths and dirt trails, providing spectacular views and challenging rides.
Upon arriving in Pailin, explore the surrounding hills, where locals still engage in small-scale gem mining. The area is also home to dense forests and beautiful waterfalls, perfect for an afternoon of exploration. Overnight in Pailin.
Day 4: Pailin Motorcycle Tour to Koh Kong (Approx. 170 km)
Today, you’ll head further south to Koh Kong, a coastal province known for its wild jungles, mangroves, and rivers. The off-road ride offers some of the most scenic landscapes in western Cambodia, as you ride through forested areas and mountain passes.
Arriving in Koh Kong, spend the afternoon exploring the nearby Tatai Waterfall or take a boat trip through the extensive mangrove forests. You can also visit the local fishing communities along the coast to learn about their traditional ways of life. Overnight in a riverside guesthouse in Koh Kong.
Day 5: Koh Kong Motorcycle Tour to Phnom Penh (Approx. 180 km)
On your final day, begin the return journey to Phnom Penh, riding through a combination of scenic coastal routes and dirt trails. The ride will take you along the edge of the Cardamom Mountains, offering breathtaking views as you make your way back to the capital.
Arrive back in Phnom Penh in the late afternoon, concluding your 5-day Cambodia Off-road Motorcycle Tour with memories of rugged mountain paths, serene coastal views, and rich cultural experiences.
