Riding time: 5–6 hours

Roads: Urban traffic > highway > countryside roads > jungle tracks

As the sun rises over the restless heartbeat of Saigon, the engines roar to life and our Vietnam Motorbike Tour begins. We escape the chaos of the city, weaving through the early morning maze of scooters and street food vendors until skyscrapers give way to rice paddies and coconut palms. The further we ride, the more the urban buzz fades into a peaceful rhythm of rural life.

After about 60km, the road opens up to scenic countryside dotted with dragon fruit orchards and rubber plantations. We take detours onto red-dirt paths—kicking up clouds of dust as we navigate rural single trails, weaving past water buffalo and local farmers. This is your first real taste of Vietnam dirt bike tour adventure—muddy ruts, hidden jungle tracks, and a few tricky river crossings.

Around noon, we stop at a roadside cơm tấm stall for a rustic lunch of grilled pork, broken rice, and pickled vegetables. By mid-afternoon, we roll into the misty edge of Nam Cat Tien National Park, home to one of Vietnam’s richest ecosystems. We check into our eco-lodge beside the Đồng Nai River, where the forest hums with the sound of cicadas. If time allows, we’ll take a short off-road exploration into the park’s buffer zone or a guided trek to spot wildlife. Dinner tonight features forest vegetables, river fish, and lemongrass chicken. The day ends under a sky scattered with stars, far away from the city’s neon glow.

Day 2: Nam Cat Tien Motorbike Tour to Ta Dung

Distance: ~170km

Riding time: 5–6 hours

Roads: Forest roads > winding highways > mountain tracks

Accommodation: Lakeside homestay near Ta Dung

Meals: Breakfast, lunch en route, dinner at homestay

We wake to the distant calls of gibbons echoing through the jungle. After a hearty breakfast with strong Vietnamese coffee, our bikes roar back to life. The first 40km are pure joy—meandering through jungle roads, sandy sections, and broken bridges that make this stretch a real off-road motorbike experience.

Leaving the forest behind, we climb steadily into the Central Highlands. The ride today is a mix of smooth asphalt, sharp hairpin turns, and occasional dirt trails cutting through coffee plantations. Around midday, we stop for a local highland lunch—fresh spring rolls, grilled pork skewers, and a bowl of hot phở. By afternoon, the landscape transforms into a sea of emerald hills, signaling our approach to Ta Dung Lake, often called the “Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands” because of its countless islands and calm waters. We ride along narrow roads and take a detour down a rugged dirt path for a panoramic view of the lake at sunset.

Tonight, we stay at a lakeside homestay, where dinner features grilled fish and wild vegetables. Over a bonfire, we share stories with local villagers, sipping on homemade rice wine while the cool mountain breeze rolls in.

The morning mist over Ta Dung paints a surreal picture as we gear up for one of the most scenic days of our Vietnam Motorbike Tour. We carve through the Central Highlands, riding past vast coffee plantations, pepper farms, and hidden waterfalls. Some sections challenge us with narrow single trails, loose gravel, and streams that require careful throttle control—an ideal playground for Vietnam dirt bike tour enthusiasts.

Around noon, we stop in Bao Loc town for a steaming bowl of hủ tiếu and sweet condensed milk coffee. The climb into Da Lat begins shortly after, with winding mountain passes lined with pine forests, strawberry farms, and wildflowers. Arriving in Da Lat, often dubbed the “City of Eternal Spring,” we check into our boutique hotel.

The evening is free to wander around Da Lat’s night market, tasting street food favorites like bánh tráng nướng (Vietnamese pizza) and avocado ice cream. The city’s cool climate is the perfect ending after a day of intense riding.

On the way back, we follow less-traveled coffee trails and dirt paths, weaving past flower farms, tea plantations, and hidden pine forests. The late afternoon invites us to the Truc Lam Zen Monastery or a scenic cable car ride over Tuyen Lam Lake (optional for those who prefer a break from riding). As we get closer to Nha Trang, the scent of saltwater mingles with warm coastal breezes. A quick lunch of grilled seafood awaits us at a roadside shack, followed by the final stretch along scenic ocean roads. Arriving in Nha Trang, we check into our beachfront hotel and relax with a swim or sunset beer by the sea.

Dinner is all about fresh seafood—think butter-grilled prawns, garlic clams, and the city’s signature lobster dishes. The nightlife here is vibrant for those who want to explore.

We break for lunch at a humble fishing village, where the catch of the day—grilled squid, fresh crab, and rice—is served with unbeatable sea views.

We pause for a farewell lunch of “bánh xèo” (crispy Vietnamese pancakes) and fresh sugarcane juice. As the skyline of Saigon reappears, you’ll feel the contrast between the chaos of the city and the wild beauty of the road you’ve just conquered.
