Hanoi Motorbike Tour to Mai Chau – Tour Itinerary :
DAY 1: Hanoi riding tours to Mai Chau – 170 km
This short Vietnam motorbike tour starts with a beautiful ride to Mai Chau from outskirts of Hanoi at around 8 AM, we will ride away from the busy traffic by taking some narrow and small country roads. After lunch, we will have enjoyable motorcycle ride on forgotten French road No 6. That’s a small and winding road long the Black River. It offers the view like Ha long bay. After crossing Thung Khe pass – one of the most beautiful mountain passes in North Vietnam we will hit the road down to the mountain valley settlement of Mai Chau. ( Home to the white Thai people who live in houses on stilts).

Day 2: Mai Chau motorcycle tours to Phu Yen – Son La – 160 km
The motorcycle ride to Phu Yen is quite easy, It offers a lot of stops for pictures of amazing mountain view. We can start the day with a easy walk around the village or be lazy with a waking up café . After saying goodbye to the Thai people we ride up to the direction of Moc Chau. Lunch is after the beautiful Hua Tat pass and then after lunch, turn to the less travelled Road 43 that leads to the Da River . After crossing the reservoir of Da river at Van Yen ferry, we ride on a beautiful winding road until Phu Yen where we stay overnight.

DAY 3: Phu Yen Motorcycle Tour To Vu Linh Village (Thac Ba Lake, Yen Bai):
In the morning, we motorcycle across Lung Lo pass before head up on Road 32 .
During the First Indochina War, the 15km-long Lung Lo Pass, used by the Vietnamese resistance force to transport weapons, goods and food during the Dien Bien Phu campaign of 1954, was heavily bombed by the French in order to sever the front lines from the rear. Lung Lo Pass, situated in the northern province of Yen Bai, was also recognised as a national heritage by the ministry.
Head up to Ba Khe T-junction, we continue our motorbike tour on sealed road through renowned tea growing areas, where the hillsides are literally covered in plantations, all the way to the city of Yen Bai which sits on the Red River. From here it’s a short ride to the Thac Ba Lake, also formed by the construction of hydroelectricity dam in the 1970s. We keep riding to the Dao village of Vu Linh where we stay for the night, enjoying Dao hospitality.
We will have an unforgettable dinner with the hosts, whose are really big drinkers and they party every day. The welcome is exceptional and we hope you will survive.

Day 4: Thac Ba Lake Motorbike To Ba Be Lake In Bac Kan : 180 Km (B,L,D)
Say good bye to the Dzao family in the village after breakfast, It’s a beautiful North Vietnam motorbike tour through the highlands, through the jungle and pass by some interesting historical sites in Tan Trao district, Tuyen Quang province. After lunch in Cho Chu town we have enjoyable motorcycle riding on the winding roads to the Ba Be lake. We arrive the Bac Ngoi village that is located nearby the largest natural lake in Vietnam – Ba Be lake. Leave the bike in the village and have a boat tour around Ba Be lake for 1 and half hour. We stay with the Tay people in Pac Ngoi village and enjoy a great dinner with them.

Day 5: Ba Be Lake Motorbike Tour Back To Hanoi : 240 Km (B,L)
It is a big motorbike day tour back to Hanoi, so we will start the day early just in order to finish this Motorbike tour in north Vietnam safely before rush hours, we will try to motorbike on the small road as long as possible, and get away from the highway even it make the day longer but it’s surely better.
Hanoi motorbike tour to beautiful lakes ends in Hanoi at 5:00 PM.
