Itinerary:
One Day Saigon motorbike tour to Cu Chi Tunnels – Itinerary:
8:00: The tour will depart from your hotel in District one and head north out of the city.
Along the way you will see some amazing countryside views, rubber tree plantations, rice fields and the occasional water buffalo.
Making our way to Binh Duong boulevard we will make our first stop to check out a traditional lacquer craft village and see some amazing Vietnamese art.
Following that the tour will make a stop at the war memorial of Tam Giac Sat (Iron Triangle) that was a National Liberation Front (NLF) stronghold 20 miles northwest of Saigon which had been built by the Vietminh twenty years before in the war against French colonialism. After touring the complex and snapping some photos, we continue the riding to the Cu Chi tunnels.
The Cu Chi tunnels are a whopping 250km in size. The network, parts of which were several storeys deep, included countless trapdoors, constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens. It promises to be an educational and unforgettable experience.
Once the tour of Cu Chi is complete lunch will be served prior to our return to Ho Chi Minh.
