Day 1: Ha Noi – Ta xua (210km via Tan Son tea farm)
Day 2: Ta Xua – Ngoc Chien (Mu Cang Chai) (150-180km)
Day 3: Ngoc Chien (Mu Cang Chai) – Moc Chau (170-190km)
Day 4: Moc Chau – Ha Noi (200km)
This trip gives you a quick but memorable look at the stunning beauty of the Northern Vietnam. For riders who are too busy to arrange a long vacation, or people who are new to motorcycle riding, this product is made for you. In five days, we offer you a ride through remarkable sceneries with opportunities to meet friendly people, enjoy flavorsome Vietnamese foods, explore the ethnic culture in the mountainous area, relax by a nice swim in one of the most beautiful lake of the country.
Day 1: Hanoi motorbike tour to Ta Xua.
Start our motorbike tour by leaving Hanoi on some light dirt track and backroad to Dong Quang bridge, then we keep rolling beside Da river passing extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy till we reach Thanh Son town for lunch.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll head to Phu Yen town via nice dirt tracks through spectacular tea hills.
When we get to Phu Yen, the true challenge begins. We’ll embark on a vertical mountain trek with our bikes, a tough feat even on dry and sunny days, the track can be from 8 to 18 kilometers long (depending on your demand) with chilling and breathtaking scenery pushing us forwards all the way. We’ll get to our destination at a clearing right beside the “dinosaur backbone”.
Ta Xua is a mountain range in the Bac Yen district in Son La province. At the highest point of 2865 meters, the Ta Xua peak is the tenth highest peak in Vietnam. The three most important peaks form a line that looks like the backbone of a dinosaur. It is a real off the beaten track destination for adventure travelers.
If time permits, we also try some dirt-track experiences to get deeper into remote villages around to see how the locals live & work otherwise it’s our time for beer, and relaxation amid this remote and pristine nature’s playground amid the clouds.

Day 2: Vietnam 4-day Offroad Motorbike tour to Ta Xua, Ngoc Chien, Moc Chau: Ta Xua motorbike tour to Ngoc Chien.
Today you can wake up a bit early and take a walk around the little town, if we’re lucky enough we will be able to see an impressive sea of cloud in the valley nearby. Breakfast will be served at 7 o’clock, a ride to the Ta Xua dinosaur backbone is available but we suggest it’s only for experienced rider since the track is quite narrow and steep and could be scary for beginners.
After leaving Ta Xua, we head back to Bac Yen, from there we keep riding along Da river to Chen Pass, a stunning photo spot. Located 1500 meters above sea level, this pass used to play an important part in the victory of Vietnamese military over the French colonizers in the famous Indochina war.
We keep riding winding roads via Muong Chum, It Ong to Ngoc Chien through vibrant rice fieds and lovely small villages of local Thai people – one of 54 different tribes in Vietnam.
For those who keen on history materials, we can take another turn via Son La city to visit the relic of Son La prison, where the French imprisoned Vietnamse patriots during Indochina war.
Ngoc Chien, where we stay tonight is a village located at an altitude of about 1500-1800 meters above sea level, blessed by nature with very fresh and unspoiled scenery. Coming here, visitors are immediately mesmerized by the beauty of terraced fields and lovely stilt houses of the local Thai community here.
Nature really favors Ngoc Chien when bestowing this place with beautiful scenery and scenes of natural hot mineral springs. Hot water in Ngoc Chien has an average temperature of 50 – 70 degrees Celsius, suitable for visitors to relax and relieve stress effectively. And a special treatment we are delighted to offer you at the accommodation tonight is a nice homestay with a hot spring in here, imagine spending your time in a hot spring after 2 days of offroad motorbiking, you won’t be disappointed!

Day 3: Ngoc Chien motorbike tour to Moc Chau.
After saying goodbye to Ngoc Chien, we continue our journey at 9 o’clock. Along a river we ride through small villages, stop by at a hydropower dam for pictures, after a nice challenging dirt track we stop for a coffee in It Ong town. From here we follow Road 110 along Da river via Muong Chum, Yen Chau to Moc Chau.
In the afternoon when we get to Moc Chau we take some backroad through beautiful tea farms nearby, stop at Na Ka Plum Valley and visit some local ethnic villages to explore about lifestyle of people here. There will be numerous opportunities to stop and capture photographs of the breathtaking landscapes, traditional villages, and the local way of life. There are plenty of challenging offroads today, we can do some in the morning or afternoon or both depending on the real circumstances.
Moc Chau, where we stay tonight is famous for its picturesque landscapes that include rolling hills, lush tea plantations, flower gardens, and vast grasslands. The area is particularly beautiful during the spring and autumn seasons when flowers bloom and the weather is pleasant. The region is renowned for its lovely climate, cultural diversity, tea production and dairy farms. The region is home to various ethnic minorities, including the Hmong, Thai, and Dao communities. This diversity adds to the cultural richness of Mộc Châu and provides opportunities for visitors to learn about the local traditions and way of life.

Day 4: Vietnam 4-day Offroad Motorbike tour to Ta Xua, Ngoc Chien, Moc Chau: Moc Chau motorbike tour back to Hanoi:
We begin our last day of riding early at 8 o’clock in the morning to avoid traffic jam in the afternoon when we’re back to Hanoi. Following National Road 6 we head to Mai Chau district of Hoa Binh province on National Road 6. After a 60-kilometer ride, take a turn to Road 450 for a backroad ride to a spectacular view to the majestic Hoa Binh lake. One of the largest man-made lakes in Vietnam, formed when the dam blocked the water to build the Hoa Binh hydroelectric power station.
From here we take some dirt tracks and backroads before getting back to the main road for lunch in Cao Phong district or Ky Son district. After lunch, we stay on highway to the city of Hanoi.
