Day 1: Hanoi to Mai Chau (Approx. 160 km)

Your motorcycle adventure begins as you leave the lively streets of Hanoi and head southwest towards Mai Chau. The ride takes you through the scenic Red River Delta, passing vibrant green rice paddies, quaint villages, and winding rivers. As you move away from the city, the landscape transforms into rolling hills and karst mountains.

Midway through the journey, take a break at Thung Khe Pass, offering panoramic views of the valleys below. Day 2: Mai Chau to Ta Xua (Approx. 170 km)

Day 3: Ta Xua to Ngoc Chien via Tu Le and Mu Cang Chai (Approx. 180 km)

Continue your journey through Vietnam’s northern highlands, riding from Ta Xua to Ngoc Chien. The route takes you through some of the region’s most spectacular scenery, including the terraced rice fields of Tu Le and Mu Cang Chai. These UNESCO-recognized terraces create a mesmerizing landscape of green and gold, particularly during the harvest season.

In Ngoc Chien, relax in natural hot springs after a long day on the road. The village is home to the Thai and H’Mong ethnic groups, offering an authentic cultural experience. Spend the night in a homestay, enjoying traditional food and hospitality.

Day 5: Sapa to Vu Linh Village in Thac Ba Reservoir (Approx. 180 km)

Today’s journey takes you from the mountains of Sapa down to the shores of Thac Ba Reservoir, one of Vietnam’s largest artificial lakes. The ride combines winding mountain roads with flat highways, offering a varied riding experience.

Upon arrival in Vu Linh Village, meet the Dao ethnic people who live in traditional stilt houses along the reservoir. Explore the village, learn about the Dao culture, and take a boat trip on the reservoir, where you can swim, fish, or simply relax. Enjoy a traditional dinner and an overnight stay in a stilt house.

As you approach Hanoi, the traffic becomes busier, but your skills and confidence will have grown over the past six days. Arrive back in the city in the afternoon, reflecting on the diverse landscapes and cultures you’ve experienced. End your adventure with a final dinner in Hanoi, celebrating the incredible journey you’ve just completed.
